ON TV THIS WEEK

Grammys and oo-la-la wear are among the TV highlights this week.

The Grammy nominees will be announced in a CBS special at 9 p.m. Wednesday. B.B. King, Celine Dion, John Mayer and Taylor Swift are scheduled to perform.

They are the warm-up for "The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" at 10 p.m. Wednesday on CBS. Heidi Klum, Selita Ebanks and Adriana Lima are among the models. Usher sings. But another draw will be the backdrop: the lavishly restored Fontainebleau Miami Beach. How much screen time will that fabled hotel get?

Fox unveils "Secret Millionaire" with two hours at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The setup: The affluent live secretly among the less fortunate before providing surprise help. That help is at least $100,000 of the millionaire's own money. Does it sound like a show for our time?

And there are a lot of new episodes this week -- the week after the all-important November ratings period ended.

Highlights? ABC offers a new "Boston Legal" at 10 p.m. Monday. That Emmy-laden drama will end its run Dec. 8.

CBS' popular Tuesday lineup won't face competition from "Dancing With the Stars." It's the perfect time to take a look at "The Mentalist," the season's biggest new hit. It airs at 9 p.m. Tuesday -- opposite Fox's "Fringe," the season's other new hit.

CBS' "Survivor: Gabon" ejects another player at 8 p.m. Thursday. And hasn't this been an excellent season?

There's also a new "CSI" at 9 p.m. Thursday -- it stands a good chance of being the week's most-watched program. I haven't seen that episode, but here's an alert: You do not want to miss the Dec. 11 episode that introduces Laurence Fishburne. It's stunning. Brace yourself for a shocking performance by Bill Irwin as a serial killer. The photography has a mesmerizing look. Here's a show that's nine years into its run, and it's still grade-A TV.
